Common Care Questions, Answered
Homemaker Personal Care
Homemaker personal care combines help with everyday household tasks and hands-on personal care assistance. This includes support with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, along with light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and companionship — all provided in the comfort of home.
Our personal care aides (PCAs) and home health aides (HHAs) assist with bathing and grooming, dressing, toileting and hygiene, transfers and mobility, medication reminders, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship care.
No. Homemaker personal care is non-medical home care. Our caregivers assist with daily living and household tasks but do not provide skilled medical or nursing services.
These services support aging adults, adults with disabilities, and individuals who need help remaining safe and independent at home. Many clients qualify through Medicaid waiver programs or other long-term care support funding.
Yes. Our in-home care and aging-in-place services are designed to help seniors and adults with disabilities live independently at home for as long as safely possible.
Non-Medical Transportation
Non-medical transportation (also called non-emergency medical transportation, or NEMT) provides safe, reliable rides to appointments, errands, and community activities for people who cannot drive or need extra assistance.
We provide transportation to medical appointments, pharmacies, grocery stores, errands, and community outings, along with door-to-door and curb-to-curb service.
Yes. We provide wheelchair-accessible and disability transportation services to ensure safe, comfortable travel for all clients.
No. Non-medical transportation is for non-emergency needs only. For medical emergencies, please call 911.
Trusted, trained drivers provide door-to-door assistance, helping clients safely get in and out of the vehicle and to their destination.
Respite Services
Respite services provide temporary, short-term care that gives family caregivers a much-needed break. A qualified caregiver steps in to provide safe, compassionate care while the primary caregiver rests or attends to other responsibilities.
Respite care can be arranged for a few hours, a full day, or overnight, depending on your family's needs. We offer both planned and emergency respite.
We offer in-home respite care so your loved one stays in a familiar environment while receiving quality support.
Caring for a loved one is rewarding but demanding. Respite services provide family caregiver relief to help prevent burnout, reduce stress, and support the long-term well-being of both the caregiver and the person receiving care.
Yes. In addition to planned respite, we offer emergency respite care when unexpected situations arise.
Remote Support Services
Remote support services use technology to provide monitoring and assistance without a caregiver being physically present. This can include remote safety monitoring, virtual caregiver support, and on-call remote assistance.
Through assistive technology and smart home care devices, our team can monitor safety, provide reminders, and respond to needs in real time — offering support and peace of mind while promoting independence.
Not necessarily. Remote support can be used on its own or alongside in-home care, offering flexible coverage that fits each individual's needs and level of independence.
Yes. Our remote monitoring and telecare services are designed with privacy and security in mind, using technology that protects each client's dignity and personal information.
Adults with disabilities and seniors who value independence but still need a layer of safety monitoring and on-call assistance often benefit most from remote support.
Adult Day Services (ADS)
Adult Day Services (ADS), also known as adult day care or adult day programs, provide structured, supervised daytime care in a safe, social setting for adults who need support during the day.
Our adult day programs include social engagement and recreational activities, structured programming for adults with disabilities, and community integration opportunities that promote connection and well-being.
No. Adult Day Services provide supervised daytime care and social engagement, but participants return home each evening. It's a great option for families who need daytime support.
ADS is ideal for seniors and adults with disabilities who benefit from social interaction, structured activities, and supervision during the day, while also giving family caregivers relief during working hours.
By providing safe, engaging daytime care, Adult Day Services allow caregivers to work or rest during the day, knowing their loved one is supervised and socially engaged in a supportive environment.
